Facebook for Small Business

By Brian, Marketing Advisor

By now, most people are aware of social media. While many still struggle to understand the full scope of this rapidly evolving medium, it’s clear social media is not a fad. With tens of millions logging in nationwide, Facebook is the undeniable kingpin of social media. Having a mass following is one thing. Capitalizing on a captive audience is another. Let’s explore how Facebook can be put to use to generate leads and build loyalty.

Facebook erupted into our culture. Like a powerful volcano, Facebook is spreading its memberships from the core, college-aged users, and across the entire social landscape. According to a study done by iStrategyLabs, Facebook saw a 170% increase from January to July, 2009. That increase translated to nearly 30 million new subscribers. 3. Is this feature against the law or in violation of a Terms of Service agreement you’ve accepted?

West Fest Parade

Parade Float

Absolute Marketing Group’s contribution to the West Fest parade was a real “hit”. Build the Wall: 1 hour. Design and Hang the Sign: 1 hour and 15 minutes. Fill 500 water balloons: A lot longer than you would think. Having the opportunity to participate in the West Fest parade? Priceless. (We found it amusing that the beauty queens were on the float behind us. Surprisingly, no one missed and “accidentally” hit them with water balloons.) View more photos on our Facebook page.

Twitter Updates Terms of Service

By Luke, Interactive Director

Twitter has been around for a while now, and has gained immense popularity as of recent. Because of this, Twitter has learned a lot about how people use the service. They have updated their terms of service, or the rules of how people can use Twitter.

It’s always important to stick to the terms of service for any web site or service to prevent your account from getting banned or deleted. If you use Twitter personally or for your business, now would be a good time to head over to their terms of service page and check out the new rules.
